Myles is Ready for 2008

Rivals100 safety Darren Myles is ready to lead the Carver Panthers into action this season. The Panthers open up with Mays this Friday and he will start at quarterback and safety.

Myles is a 6-foot-0, 175 pound four-star safety out of Atlanta. Offers from over 30 schools are on the table and he is expecting things to pick back up soon after a somewhat quiet summer.

We attended a recent Carver practice to get a look at Myles as he and the Panthers prepare for their big opener on ESPNU Friday August 29.

Between the drills, Myles took the time to talk with us about his team, his expectations, and recruiting. Check out video of him going through practice and talking recruiting here.

If you are not able to view the interview at this time, here are a few select quotes from one of the best in Georgia.

"Everyone has been practicing hard and the intensity is high. Nobody wants to go out there on T.V. and look, so everybody has been practicing hard."

"I had a little bruised bicep, but I am healthy now."

"I had two touchdowns [rushing] and I threw for one. It was 34-0 in the beginning of the third quarter and we put our J.V. in and they scored two touchdowns. The final score was 34-13."
