Family connections paying off for Purdue

Atlanta (Ga.) Carver safety Darren Myles finished out the Spring Evaluation Period with a flurry of offers and accolades. The 6-2, 185-pound Purdue legacy has not forgotten his father's alma mater amidst the onslaught of attention, however; in fact his excitement regarding the Boilermakers seems to have been recharged.

Myles is the son of Darren Myles, Sr., a running back at Purdue from 1987-91 and now his son's head coach at Carver High. That the two share the same name has created some unforeseen developments that the father has given his son some good-natured grief about.
