Rivals100 DB checked out Athens

Just over a week ago, Rivals100 corner Michael Carter camped at the University of Georgia. He traveled up from Pompano Beach (Fla.) to Athens so he could show the UGA staff what he could do.

"The camp at Georgia was very intense," said Carter. "They push you, it was hard work, it was very competitive, and there were a lot of top receivers there."

The way Carter described the camp, it was no walk in the park, but he thinks he did a good job.

"I knocked down a couple of passes, I shut down some receivers, and I think I did real good. I got to work on some things and I think I did good in front of the coaches."

The main coach the 5-foot-11, 154-pound corner worked with was Georgia's Defensive Coordinator/Secondary Coach Willie Martinez. Carter enjoyed his time working with Coach Martinez.

"He showed me some good things to help me get better in coverage and I really liked how intense he was," the Rivals100 corner explained. "He talked to me some during the camp and he seemed like a good coach."
