Aladenoye Rubs the Sooner Lamp
With the impending departure of Sooner sunblockers, Duke Robinson and Phil Loadholt Oklahoma offensive line coach James Patton knew his team needed some big men up front and he wasted little time in landing one with Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite Josh Aladenoye recently picking up an offer.
And just three days removed from that offer, the 6-foot-5, 347-pound offensive lineman has made his decision.
"Yes sir, I just committed to Oklahoma. I can't believe you found out so quickly, I just committed like 20 minutes ago," Aladenoye said. "They offered me on Sunday, and I've been wanting to commit, but I wanted my parents to go over it and everything."
Aladenoye's parents weren't looking to steer him away from the Sooners but due to his mother wanting him to have a look at some familiar places to her, he decided to wait a few extra days.
"My family wanted me to commit to Oklahoma but my mom was a little skeptical because she wanted me to give LSU a shot. I didn't feel like waiting, I mean you don't get an offer from Oklahoma but once in a blue moon," he said.
