UGA leads after Virginia DB visits Athens

One of Georgia's top cornerback targets visited Athens over the weekend. Jordan Love and his mother traveled down from Virginia to spend 24 hours on the UGA campus and they both liked what they saw.

"We drove down to Georgia on Friday after school and then we left Athens on Saturday night," said Love.

"My mom came with me and we were there for about one full day. We made good time traveling and we had a great time during the visit."

With Love only being on campus for about 24 hours, Georgia had to cram everything into a short amount of time. Coaches Tony Ball and Willie Martinez showed Love what the Dawgs had to offer.

"They were both with me the entire visit and they were great. They showed me the campus, the academics, the facilities, and everything that Georgia was about. I saw a lot and I liked it all."

He enjoyed the entire visit, but a couple of things really stood out to the 6-foot-0, 185-pound corner that claims a 4.41 time in the forty-yard dash.

"One of the highlights was what I found out about the academics at Georgia. I met with the academic advisor Ms. Rhonda and I liked her a lot. She showed me everything about Georgia's academics, she broke it all down, and she showed me how strong Georgia was academically."

"Meeting with coach Mark Richt was also something that caught my eye. Me and my mom met with him for over an hour and we talked very little about football. We talked about life, school, and other things besides football. We could tell he is very genuine and a very good person."

Another part of the visit seemed like déjà vu for the talented corner out of Glen Allen (VA) Deep Run.

"This was kind of funny because this was the second time this exact situation has happened," said Love. "Georgia brought Akeem Hebron to talk with me about Georgia and he was the guy I could talk to and ask questions about UGA."

"This happened when I was in eight grade also. I visited Good Counsel High School and Coach Malloy brought in Akeem then to try to get me to go that high school. It was just funny how the same thing happened all over again, but it was great."

"Akeem answered every question I asked him about Georgia, he told me how it was down there, and he tried to convince me to commit to Georgia. It was cool hanging out with him and he told me a lot."

Seeing the campus, learning about the academic situation at UGA, meeting the coaching staff, having a one on one conversation with Coach Richt, finding out what it is like to be a football player in Athens, and more is a lot to take in for anyone. But Love took it in in just one full day.
