Georgia linebacker cuts list to three

Milledgeville (Ga.) Baldwin LB Corico Hawkins has done his research, taken his visits, talked to coaches. Now, the 6-foot, 220-pounder has made a cut. Hawkins will decide between three schools.

"I narrowed it down to Clemson, Florida and Auburn," said Hawkins. All three of the schools are great football schools and great academically. I'm looking for a place where I can go and succeed academically as well as on the football field."

Hawkins, who had 126 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss and a fumble recovery as a junior, said he has his reasons for having two sets of Tigers and Gators in his final three.

"I've been to Florida on several occasions. I went up to Clemson and stayed for two days and went to Auburn for a Junior Day," he said. "With Clemson, I like the location, and the depth at linebacker isn't that deep. I would have a chance to go in and probably play my freshman or sophomore season there.
