Safety with Big Ten ties has U-M offer

Although he currently resides in Atlanta, Ga., Carver High standout safety Darren Myles Jr., understands Big Ten football. His father, Darren Myles Sr., starred as a running back for Purdue from 1987-91. Now the younger Myles is receiving recruiting attention and scholarship offers from Big Ten programs.

The 6-3, 180-pound Myles has garnered offers from schools across the country after recording 55 tackles and four interceptions as a junior at Carver. Among the Big Ten programs to have offered are his father's alma mater, Purdue, and Michigan which he picked up last week.
