In-State DB visits UGA and leaves with offer

One of the top defensive backs in the Peach State has been racking up top offers lately. Darren Myles is one of the hottest prospects in Georgia and he picked up another big one on Friday night.

"I was up there at Georgia for practice Friday night and that is when I got the offer," said Myles. "I met with Coach Richt in his office after practice and he offered me."

"He told me that they look for players with character and athleticism and I was that guy. He told me I was the person that fit the things they looked for in a player and that is when he told me they wanted to offer me a scholarship."

Georgia was the second SEC school to offer Myles in as many days and he is feeling good about now.

"It felt great to get that offer from Georgia and it is getting exciting," he said. "Alabama offered me Thursday too and that was great too."

"I am up to 14 offers now and some others that have offered recently are West Virginia, N.C. State, Wake Forest, and Miami-Ohio."

He was not expecting the offer from UGA, but he happily accepted it.
