Ray-Pec LB adds offer, picks favorite
For Ray-Pec LB Andrew Wilson, football seemed to come easy. After a solid junior year on the field, recruiting started picking up early for the talented linebacker.
Wilson went on to talk about the biggest thing in recruiting was undoubtedly being the offer from the Tigers. He said that he was amazed it came so soon, but that it was also something he had dreamed about getting for most of his life.
Wilson said growing a Tiger fan made the offer that much more exciting to him, but it wasn't just that his father had been a player in Columbia. Wilson said the offer was just the long line in a connection with Missouri for him and his family.
Wilson has also been in close contact with former teammate Derrick Washington as well as former Ray Pec TE Chase Coffman. Both current Tigers have been in contact with Wilson about recruiting, as well as reminding him they both want him to stay in black and gold.
After finding out about the offer in the morning, Wilson called Missouri coach Andy Hilllater that evening to talk about the offer. He said the two talked briefly and enjoyed the short time they had to get to know each other.
With his basketball season over, Wilson said that he had been focusing on his lifting and preparing for upcoming events over the spring. Although he wasn't totally sold on what he would be doing, most of his plans were already starting to take shape.
When Wilson attends events, could it be possible that it is as a committed player? Wilson sait it was possible, but even if he isn't, he knew he'd be going into the spring with one team at the top of his list.
