Rivals100 DE visits UGA for first time

One of the more sought after prospects in the state of South Carolina traveled down to Athens over the weekend to visit the University of Georgia. Chris Bonds is the number 72 ranked player in the country and he saw UGA for the first time Saturday and he liked what he saw.

"I had a very good visit and everything was real nice down there," said Bonds. "I have been to Athens before because I was at the NIKE Camp there last year, but this was my first time visiting UGA and seeing the campus."

"The academic center was really impressive and I love how they look after their players extensively. I like how they take care of their players with the mentors and tutors and make sure all is being taken care of. That really stuck out to me. It looks like Georgia staff really cares about their players."

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive end had a chance to spend time with Georgia's defensive ends coach Jon Fabris and Georgia's head coach Mark Richt during the visit.
