Sulphur's Jones has LSU offer

The ink is not even dry on the Class of 2008 and the LSU coaching staff is already starting to try and put together a stellar recruiting class for next season.

As of Wednesday morning, they hope that involves Sulphur linebacker Tahj Jones.
One of the more talented, yet raw athletes on the defensive side of the ball in the State of Louisiana, the 6-2, 185-pound Jones was named District 2-5A Defensive MVP in addition to be named to the Class 5A All-State first team.

That was enough for the Tigers to offer the Sulphur linebacker.

"(Sulphur Head Coach) Paul Bourgeois called me into his office today and said that he had talked to (LSU Assistant Coach) Bradley Dale Peveto and (LSU Head Coach) Les Miles and they said that they extended me an official scholarship offer to come play football for them at LSU," Jones said.
