Harris visited two in-state schools Saturday
Rivals100 junior to watch offensive lineman Andre Harris had a busy weekend. He had a game Friday night and then visited two in-state schools on Saturday. The first school he stopped at on Saturday was the University of Georgia.
"It was my first time to Georgia for a game and it was pretty cool," said Harris. "They sent me an invitation in the mail last week inviting me to this game, so I knew I had to go."
He was happy with his decision.
"Going on the field before the game was really exciting. I was down there standing next to the offensive linemen and that was cool. They looked huge in those pads and they really get after it during warm-ups. We do nothing like that at my high school."
"Coach Mark Richt talked to me before the game and just told me to keep my head up about our season (Lovejoy is 0-3). He told me just to take it game to game and keep moving forward. It was real cool for the head coach to come over and talk to me like that."
Getting down on the field, seeing all the fans and being part of a UGA game-day made Harris hungry for the next level.
"Hearing the crowd, watching the players play and just being around the town made me excited about college," said the 6-foot-4, 345-pound lineman. "It really had me pumped up and I enjoyed the experience."
