Video: Quick look at Mettenberger

A prospect that has already put his name out there is Zach Mettenberger. His size jumps out at you immediately and when you see the talent behind it you know why he has picked up at least three early offers.

We were out evaluating this 2009 quarterback and he showed arm strength and touch before leaving the game when it got out of hand.

Mettenberger completed 4 passes in 6 attempts in Oconee's 48-0 win over Clarkston Friday night. His team returned an interception for a touchdown, they blocked a punt and they did everything right against the Angoras last weekend.

He did not get the opportunity to throw much in this game because of the lopsided score, but he seized the moment when his number was called.

The first pass thrown was tipped but caught by an Oconee receiver for a touchdown. He got a break there, but his next couple of throws really shows his talents.

He stepped up in the pocket and hit his receiver in stride when throwing off his back foot for a 31 yard gain. After that he hit a quick slant and then one of better throws of the night was incomplete on a 12 yard square route.

This 6-foot-4, 215-pound junior showed touch, accuracy, pocket awareness and arm strength in limited action Friday night. He only played the first half and the game was out of hand after the first quarter.
