Massie makes weekend visit to UNC
Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian offensive tackle Bobby Massie has been flying mostly under the radar this spring and early summer, but college coaches throughout the Southeast are familiar with the 6-8, 335-pound behemoth. This past weekend, the lineman made a trip along with his parents to a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference schools; Clemson and North Carolina.
"I liked the academic part, and just the football part at Clemson. They told me a lot of things I didn't know about the school. I got a chance to sit down with Coach (Tommy) Bowden and Coach (Billy) Napier and talk football, and I got to meet (Clemson lineman) Barry Richardson; I got to meet him." Massie said. "At North Carolina, we saw Coach (Ken) Browning and the new offensive line coach, Coach (Sam) Pittman. We sat around and talked for a while, and they took us around the campus. We saw the weight room and the locker room and all that."
