Sophomore QB gets first offer

There is no question that Josh Nunes (6-4, 190, 4.85) from Upland, Calif., will be among the very best quarterbacks in what appears to be a very solid group for the class of 2009.

Though Nunes has only been playing the position since his freshman season in high school. He has already picked up a rare scholarship to play quarterback on the D-I level and he hasn't played a down as a junior.

What does that tell you about his quarterbacking ability. He still has an abundance of untapped potential.

"This past Tuesday ( May 29th 2007) Josh received his first offer from the University of Hawai'i," Upland assistant coach Mike Esquivel said. "Head Coach June Jones and quarterbacks coach Dan Morrison called myself and Upland Head Football Coach Tim Salter Tuesday afternoon to tell us about there offer to Josh.
