Perkins anxious for Oregon visit

David Perkins is on a whirlwind tour of the country in January. The South Bend (Ind.) Washington athlete is scheduled to make four of his five official visits in the next month before national letter of intent day, including one to the Pacific Northwest.

"I've got Oregon scheduled for the 20th," said Perkins. "I think I fit their defense very well. See ball, get ball; you get to go after the ball. I'm just anxious to get out there."

Interest in the Ducks is nothing new for Perkins. "Growing up Oregon was my dream school. It's not often that you get the opportunity to live out your dreams. It is a must that I get out there and check them out at the least."

The 6-foot-2, 225 pound high school standout is being recruited on either side of the ball by various schools.

"To me it doesn't matter what position I play in college," said Perkins. "Whether it be rush end, linebacker, running back or wideout either, it really doesn't matter. I feel like I can do many different roles."
