NIKE Camp: Hot 11

NIKE Camp: Hot 11

  • DT Sheldon Day of Warren Central High School, Indiana
Day is a very solid tackle prospect. He is not as big as Pipkins or O'Brien, but showed a high motor. Will need to add more strength at the next level.
  • WR Monty Madaris of Moeller High School, Ohio
Madaris was not on my player list, but I wrote his number down on two separate occasions for impressing me, without know it was him.
  • QB Shane Morris of DeLaSalle High School, Michigan:
Morris had a good day. He has a very strong arm and has the mechanics and footwork you like to see. Should be one of top 5 signal callers in nation for 2013.
  • DT Danny O'Brien of Flint Powers High School, Michigan
O'Brien used his quickness to abuse multiple offensive linemen. This despite the fact that he is one of the most powerfully built defensive tackles in the nation.
  • QB Tyler O'Connor of Lima Catholic High School, Ohio
Quick release, good arm strength and accurate. It was pretty obvious that he and Morris were the top two quarterbacks on Saturday.
  • LB/DE David Perkins of Washington High School, Indiana:
The OL coaches were crying foul every time Perkins line up on the edge, saying it is not fair to have a wide receiver rushing the passer. Perkins was simply too fast for the competition
  • DT OnDre Pipkins of Park Hill High School, Missouri:
Was a big, physical menace all day long. Has very quick feet for a player his size and wanted to compete all day long without the Will Campbell attitude.

  • DE Se'Von Pittman of Canton McKinley High School, Ohio
Pittman has the type of frame you look for in an edge pass rusher. Looks like he is college ready right now. Will end up being a 6-fot-5, 265-pound DE in college.
  • TE Josiah Price of Eastern High School, Indiana
Sleeper alert. Big, physical tight end that caught everything and showed a good work ethic. It is hard for big tight ends to excel in this format but Price impressed SpartanMag.com
  • LB James Ross: of Orchard Lake Saint Mary's High School, Michigan
Very solid in the drills we saw him in. Ross is just very technically sound. His game is not flashy, but he is rarely in the wrong place and knows what to do when he arrives.
  • WR Monty Madaris of Moeller High School, Ohio
Madaris was not on my player list, but I wrote his number down on two separate occasions for impressing me, without know it was him.
  • WR Sebastian Smith of Pickerington Central High School, Ohio:
Another situation of a "sleeper"player doing things well on this day. I kind of thought he reminded me a bit of Otis Wiley when he was at the same point in his development.
