The Black Knights add linebacker to the Class of 2011

The Knights were able to add another linebacker to their 2011 recruiting class when Dan Muenzer out of Elgin (IL) Elgin High School gave his verbal commitment to the Army coaching staff over the weekend.

The 6-foot-0, 195 pounds played both outside linebacker and wide receiver in his dual role at Elgin.

Muenzer was hearing from several schools like North Dakota State, but after taking his an unofficial to Army and receiving an offer from the Black Knights on January 18th, he knew exactly where he wanted to attend school.

"I went on an unofficial visit to Army when they hosted Air Force and I just knew this was the place for me," shared Muenzer, who has been recruited by Army's fullback coach, Joe Ross.

The prep bound prospect indicated that he plans on taking an official visit to Army after Signing Day.

At 6-foot-0, 195 pounds, where is Muenzer being projected to play in Ellerson's attack defense?

"I'm being recruited as a linebacker in the Black Knights' defensive scheme," said an elated Muenzer, who has run a personal best 4.49 in the forty.

GoBlackKnights.com will have more on the newest member of the 2011 on National Signing Day.
