Army lands talented fullback

The Black Knights continue to add quality talent to the class of 2011, and one piece to that puzzle is big fullback Greg Rabb.

The 6-foot-0, 230 pounder is a load and someone that the staff absolutely wanted to pull in. It didn't take long for the burly back to make his decision to play for Army.

"I'm at the airport right now heading home," he said earlier this afternoon, as he begins to share about this weekend's official visit to West Point. "Army was fantastic and I committed this morning … I committed to Coach Holmes."

So when exactly did Rabb make his pledge to the Army defensive tackle coach. "I was at the airport and he had called me and ask me if I was going to be a Black Knight … I told him most definitely," shared an elated Rabb, who will kick-off his Army football career at the USMAPS.

The future Black Knight, who was hosted this weekend by Julian Crockett, will called upon to play B-back in Army's triple option offense, as he disclosed some of the details around his visit.

"It was wonderful, I really enjoyed myself and Julian was down to earth," he shares.

"I arrived Friday afternoon and we had lunch, then we toured the athletic center which is top of the line. The biggest weight room I have ever seen."

What sold you on Army? "The history behind West Point, I took a look at the program and the coaching staff, but also, the education I would be getting there and life after football," Rabb acknowledged, as he talked about his first face to face encounter with Army Head Coach, Rich Ellerson.

"He spotted me out of the crowd and he yelled out … Greg Rabb we've been looking for you man … Greg Rabb. For the head coach to know who I am, I'm in a pretty good."

Well look no further, Greg Rabb is a Black Knight and the newest member of the 2011 recruiting class.
