Cougars Look In State and Find Real Talent
What now for the Washington Cougars in the wake of Bishop Sankey being siphoned off of their recruiting class on his way to the U of W? Well they still got some game and that includes several terrific in State commits and a blazing back from California.
One thing that Cougar Fans can be relieved about is that 2 days before Bishop pulled the plug they were able to obtain the verbal commitment of 5'10", 1805 Pound RB [db]Marcus Mason[/db] of Etiwanda High School in California who has an electronic 4.39 and tore up his league this year.
That gives them a bigger faster version of Sankey and should help ease that wound.
Now for the in-state guys the Huskies cleaned up. No two ways about that one. They have virtually every major recruit in the State now verbally committed and only Rahmel Dockery is left undecided and he could lean to WSU.
But in the mix here are a few kids we love that may just be the type of guys that rise higher then anyone would have expected.
One of them is [db]Max Hersey[/db] of Curtis High. He made a commitment last year to the Cougs and has never ever waivered. All Max has done is grown and beefed up. He is 6'3" and 240 ish and a beast. He will likely end up at TE or DE but he has a high ceiling once he gets in the flow.
Another in state stud heading to Pullman is Clover Park's Tana Pritchard. What
