Scott visiting the Rajin' Cajuns

Mississippi State commitment Devante Scott had a monster senior season for Ferriday (La.) High School tearing it up in all three phases.

But along the way the Bulldogs and Scott have lost track with one another and now a new school with a familiar coach have entered the picture. Former MSU receivers coach Mark Hudspeth, now the head coach at Louisiana, has offered three-star standout and will receive a visit from him later today.

"I've got a visit to ULL planned (today)," Scott said. "(Mississippi State's) old wide receivers coach (Mark Hudspeth) is the one who offered me a scholarship. Me and Coach Hud have talked since he came from Mississippi State. He said he's going to treat me right like he would have at Mississippi State."

Scott has been committed to the Bulldogs for over 11 months but has not heard from them since the fall.
