RB recaps his weekend visit to Army

Running back Miles Bennett walked away from his weekend visit to Army very impressed. The speedy running back who has played under the radar has captured the full attention of the Army coaching staff and would be a solid addition to an already impressive 2011 recruiting class.

"I just got back from West Point and it was great," Bennett shared with GBK.

The 5-foot-11, 207 running back, who has 4.47 forty speed to go with his size arrived on campus Friday, with several other prospects like safety oshua Trimble, Army commits Tala Atimalala and Alex Meier, as well as others.

While on campus, Bennett was hosted by J.R. Woodard, along with a familiar face. "One of the Crockett twins, Julian was also my host," says an enthusiastic Bennett. "He played at Berkley right down the street from us … we raced them in track."
So how was the overall visit for Bennett, who made the trip with his father? "Really informative and I really like it there," he said this evening. But there commitment after graduation is something I really have to think about."

Bryant will by for a home visit this upcoming week to meet with Bennett.

Bennett took time to recap some of the events that caught his attention over the weekend. "We had dinner on Friday at Kimsley and that was overlooking the football field … it was pretty amazing."

"I've been into Florida's (Gators) locker room and stuff for Friday Nights Lights and Auburn, but far this is the best," shares Bennett when describing the Black Knights' state of the art athletic and training facilities. They have everything you can think of as well as think you haven't' thought of."

So, did Bennett envision himself playing for the Black Knights?

"My interest is Army is pretty high," he says. "I watched them tear up on SMU and I like how they play.

They are looking at me as either A or C back spot and there's no doubt that I can play there and there's a lot of things to consider when it comes to West Point. It's hard to get better than West Point, so I have some things to think about."

In addition to football, the prospect out of Tampa (FL) Jesuit High School, also participates in track, where he runs the 100M, 200M, and 400M. His personal best in the 100M is 10.76.

Bennett indicated that he is looking to make his decision pretty soon. "I'll probably decide within the next week and a half.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow Bennett's recruiting up until National Signing Day.
