Reddish talks commitment
Syracuse received great news that Shutang Mungwa was going to wear Orange, but he was not the only prospect to give such news. Brandon Reddish also wanted to get into the mix as he gave a verbal to the Orange.
"I did pick Syracuse today," Reddish told CuseConfidential.com this evening.
When the safety prospect called the Orange coaches to give him the good news he spoke with Coach Marrone and his recruiting coach as well.
"The coaches were happy when they found out. I called Coach Marrone and then Coach Anselmo. Coach Marrone told me that he was very happy and he said it is going to be a great four years."
Reddish, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds did not waste time calling the Syracuse coaches to let them know about his decision once he made it.
"I knew that they were going to be my final decision today."
There were a few factors that went into this decision and they centered around staying home and the relationship he built with the Orange.
"I spoke to them the most out of all of the schools. When I went there the coaches were cool and the players were cool and it is in New York so my family can come watch me play," Reddish added. "The distance for my family was a factor, I am from New York and Syracuse is in New York, and there is a possibility for me to play early there."
Once Reddish gets to Syracuse he feels that he will help them in one are quick and will work to be a better player as well.
"I feel that I will help them because of my speed. I will also work as hard as I can so I can get better."
This recruiting season Syracuse has done well in the Empire State and now there is one big prospect left and Reddish is going to try and talk his friend into coming to college with him.
"I am trying to talk with Ishaq to see what's up and see if he wants to come."
