Sample talks upcoming trips

While the weekend of the Folsom vs. Grant rematch turned into a fruitful affair for Tyler Trosin and his Folsom squad, the other sideline had a rough go of things. Not only did top ranked Grant lose its first game of the year, knocking them out of the state title game, the entire weekend and their bodies fell apart.

Grant stars Shaq Thompson and Ference Lang were banged up the week prior and another Grant star, James Sample injured his shoulder in the game and was ineffective, especially for a four-star safety. During the Folsom game, Sample came up with a deep shoulder bruise that is delaying the start to his basketball season.

Speaking of delays, the Grant foursome of Sample, Darryl Paolo, Viliami Moala and Puka Lopa were all scheduled to officially visit Corvallis the weekend of the Civil War until injuries and mood changed all that. Grant was shocked by their upset loss and due to a couple of other factors, the star studded foursome put off their visit north.
