Peacock prepares to visit

Today Citrus (Ca.) Community College offensive tackle Jason Peacock boards a plane beginning his journey home to Milledgeville, Ga., for the holidays.

But that trip will detour in Starkville, Miss., as the 6-foot-5, 325-pound three star prospect takes his official visit to Mississippi State.

"I'm just looking for a good trip to make sure I have a good relationship with the coaches and make sure the program is right," Peacock said. "I need to see if I'm going to fit there. That's been my main focus to see wherever I fit."

The Bulldogs have been after Peacock's services for quite some time now and were one of the first to line up an official visit with the massive JUCO talent.

"I like the fact that it's in the SEC and it's close to home," Peacock said of MSU. "They play big time football. I know that once I get into a program I can tell from there and I won't have to worry about working or trying to survive on my own. I can just focus on football and school and I think anywhere that I go will be a good place just to use as a stepping stone to better myself as an athlete."

Peacock also took an official visit to another Southeastern Conference program last week traveling to Arkansas.
