Athlete Logan Pearce is a Black Knight

It didn't take long for Logan Pearce who is out of North Royalton (Ohio) North Royalton High School to say yes to Coach Ellerson and his staff.

He was offered back in early August and said yes to the Black Knights on the spot.

"I haven't pursued any other schools," shares the 6-foot-1, 195 pound running back, who is being recruited as an athlete. "I would attend West Point even I wasn't offered to play football at Army ... I'm very excited."

Pearce, who will be attending the Army-Navy game on Saturday, has already viewed Army play in person when he took an unofficial to West Point on October 30th as the Black Knights hosted VMI.

But when it comes to the game this Saturday, Pearce has a special interest beyond the fact that he will be wearing the black & gold next season. "We are going to arrive there pretty early to watch the cadets march on," he says. "My sister (Taylor) is a cadet at West Point … she is a senior."

Pearce, who will be a direct admit into West Point, is one of the Top-twenty five rushers in the talent rich state of Ohio. This season he had 1,400 yards rushing on 223 carries and 16 touchdowns to go along with 119 receiving yards.

Although Pearce put up big numbers on the ground, he has the athletic ability to play several skilled positions on both sides of the ball. His recruiting into Army has been handled by Co-defensive coordinator, Chris Smeland.

GoBlackKnights.com will have more on Pearce later.

We also congratulate Logan Pearce for becoming the newest member of the Long Gray Line.
