O'Neal Commits to Middle Tennessee

In November, Middle Tennessee received a commitment for their 2011 signing class, this time from Rodney O'Neal, a standout running back and defensive back from West Laurens High School in Georgia.

He told that he was not used to being recruited or the attention, but he "got used to it as I got recruited more." The standout defensive back received interest from Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Central Florida. Western Kentucky, Louisville, South Carolina, Maryland, and Middle Tennessee offered him a scholarship. In the end, Rodney said that he enjoyed the process and said that he was a "100% Blue Raider."

He made an unofficial visit to the campus of Middle Tennessee to see the Blue Raiders take on the Mean Green of North Texas. He loved the enviroment and said that he "felt like that this was the place for me." He'll make an official visit to his home for the next four years in January.

Rodney O'Neal is ranked by the 47th defensive back by and the 49th best prospect in the state of Georgia.
