Ohio State has put an emphasis the last couple of recruiting seasons on the offensive line and another offer could be going on in the class of 2011 with offensive guard/tackle Chris Bryant feeling a lot of love from the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder already holds a slew of offers from major programs and is rated as a four star player by and a member of the Rivals250. Currently Bryant has a top three of Arizona, Illinois and Michigan but the heavy interest from Ohio State has put the Buckeyes squarely into the mix.

Bryant was paid a visit by coach Dick Tressel this past week and liked everything that he was hearing from the Buckeyes.

"They were saying that they are really interested in me," Bryant said. "Everything was looking really good and they would get back to me in a week about where things stand with an offer. (Doc) went through their offensive line roster and told me who was leaving, who was coming back and who was coming in so I would know where I would fit in."

But is there an offer in place at this point?

"They said they were going through the process to make the offer," Bryant said. "(Doc said that they need to) show the film to the other coaches and people involved with recruiting to go through the process. Make sure everything is okay."

Bryant goes to a program that is steeped with the tradition of turning out top high school players at Chicago (Ill.) Simeon high school. Bryant is very proud of his school and the program as a whole.

"I feel that this is the school to go to in Chicago, we just work hard on everything," Bryant said. "We work hard, we drill hard... the coaches do a good job of pushing you to the max and getting us recruited. We do our role but the coaches do their role too to get us to the next level."

The big time prospect is starting his process of taking his official visits starting this week.

"I go to Arizona on Thursday, next weekend to Michigan and Illinois in January," Bryant said. "I will likely go to Ohio State and Stanford."

Bryant is currently playing tackle at Simeon high school but knows that he will not stay outside on the line when he gets to that next level.

"They are looking at me inside," Bryant said. "I played guard as a junior and tackle this year. But it is looking like guard for college."

Is there a preference for a position?

"Probably guard," Bryant admitted. "Ever since I have been playing offense it is the first position I played and having played it so much I feel more comfortable with it."

Bryant said that he doesn't wait until signing day to make a decision but he will have to get all of his visits in before he comes out with his choice. Once he is done with his fifth visit he will sit down with his family and coaches and make a decision with them.

"I more than likely going to commit early and once I talk to my family and all of that," Bryant said. "My coaches and family want me to have press conference so that will likely be in January."
