McClure making visits
The Oregon Ducks are experiencing uncharted waters this year on the football field and in the rankings. Chip Kelly has taken the Ducks to a 7-0 record and the #1 ranking in the human polls. The #1 ranking is the first time ever for the Ducks who have always grabbed the attention of recruits because of their impressive facilities and their flashy uniforms. But now recruits have far more than Nike's influences to consider when looking at the Oregon program. They must also consider the influence of Chip Kelly and his staff and how they have turned their players into arguably the best program in the nation in just one and a half seasons.
One player the Ducks would like to add to their list of committed players is 4* CB Stefan McClure. McClure is the 104th-ranked player in the nation by Rivals.com and although he is only 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, his athletic ability more than makes up for his lack of size. McClure has excellent football instincts and exceptional leaping ability. Both qualities help him when competing against both tall and speedy receivers.
McClure has offers from nine out of the twelve Pac-12 schools along with several other offers but it is a shorter list that is competing for his commitment. Duck Sports Authority recently caught up to McClure to talk about his recruiting process.
"Right now things are going pretty good. I've got three more visits left that I'm looking at taking and one unofficial so I've got four more visits that I plan on taking," said McClure. "I already took two visits to Washington and Colorado and those went good."
