Purdue picks up the interest in Detroit back

Running back Da'shawn Bell was a key reason Inkster (Mich.) High advanced to the state title game in 2009. The 5-9, 175-pound back rushed for 1,203 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior and started receiving recruiting interest immediately following that season.

Rivals.com ranks Bell as the No. 13 all-purpose back in the country, the No. 20 player in the state of Michigan and rates him three stars.
