Williams Takes the Long Way to the End Zone

BROOKSHIRE, Texas - Few players in the state of Texas have been more of an enigma from start to finish than Brookshire (Texas) Royal four-star running back Brandon Williams.

First there was his rise from relative obscurity to in the conversation of being Texas' best back in the matter of just a few months, then his early and somewhat surprising commitment to Baylor followed by his media blackout. In the middle of his silence he changed his commitment, deciding to head North of the Red River. Since that change of heart he has yet again been quite quiet.

Since that commitment the confusion has furthered with rumors that he was again looking to Waco and the Bears.

With so many questions surrounding Williams the opportunity to see him in his team's season opening 40-28 win over Wharton was too good to pass up. And Williams with 15 carries for 269-yards and four lengthy touchdown runs did little to disappoint.
