Schools still pursuing Scott
Since his commitment to Mississippi State in February, DeVante Scott expected his recruitment to die down.
But it has done anything but as six other schools have since offered. But even with the new attention Scott still intends on being a Bulldog.
The three-star athlete earned his first offer from MSU but Memphis, Louisiana Tech, Southern, Grambling, Southeastern Louisiana and Northwestern State have all followed suit.
"It's still coming," Scott said. "Every few days somebody new will call."
Scott got a chance last month to check out his future surrounding with a camp stop in Starkville to practice with the Bulldogs staff. He worked out at receiver but groin injury slowed him down. He still managed to put on a solid show and was one of the top performers on the day.
"I thought I did good up there," Scott said. "I was about 75-percent up there. I met some more of the coaches while I was there. It was good talking to Coach (Dan) Mullen. It was good to know that he knew what I had and what I can do."
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder has also made a camp appearance at Alabama this summer and has been hearing from the Crimson Tide since then.
