Tight end returns from BC camp

As a Massachusetts native it's not a secret that tight end Anthony Fabiano would be thrilled if Boston College puts a scholarship offer on the table.

The Eagles have been tracking Fabiano's progress for quite some time and the coaches have been communicating with the 6-foot-5, 238-pound prospect for just as long.

Fabiano may soon find out whether Boston College will ask him to join their program.

"I just got back from the BC camp actually," Fabiano reported on Sunday. "I think I did very well for myself. I was in the Lineman Showcase and I feel like I impressed. Coach Devine said they're going to evaluate me and let me know something by Wednesday or Thursday of this week."

If Boston College were to offer they would be the third school to do so, as Harvard and UMass have extended invitations for Fabiano to join their programs already. Though Fabiano would love the opportunity he isn't worrying about something that's out of his control.

"I'm not really nervous," he said. "I'm just gonna see where things fall. If they do (offer) that's great, if not that's okay too."

Fabiano will be camping at Harvard on Sunday. He said several other Ivy League schools have been recruiting him, including Columbia and Princeton, and a Big East school wants him to attend their camp.

"I think UConn wants me to come to their one-day camp, which I may do. I'm still waiting to see on that. Coach Foley has e-mailed me a couple of times. I'd have to see UConn before I say anything about them. They seem like they're a good football program and a good school."

Fabiano said he wants to make his decision just before the start of his senior season and he does not have any current favorites.

He is ranked the No. 10 prospect in Massachusetts.
