Despite no offer, Shaq remains high on MSU

Despite not having an offer from Michigan State, the Spartans remain in good standing with Maple Heights (Ohio) wide receiver prospect Shaquille Washington.

Washington (5-8, 150) is one of the most electrifying prospects in the Midwest, and he has the offer list to prove it. His offers include Boston College, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Illinois, Iowa State and Marshall.

"I'm still very high on Michigan State. They have a great program going on up there, and I could see myself playing at Michigan State," Washington told SpartanMag.com Thursday night. "But as of now I got to look hard at the schools I have offers from, but pay attention to the schools that have interest in me."

Another reason Washington has kept his eyes on the Spartans is because his close friend and MSU quarterback verbal commitment Connor Cook continues to recruit him.

"Yeah, he's still trying to recruit me to Michigan State. But there is nothing he can do about an offer," Washington said of Cook. "But, yeah, Connor is always talking to me about Michigan State … He just wants me to keep them in mind."
