No Slowing Down Georgia Star Safety

Simply put, Avery Walls has been on fire. Few prospects around the nation are enjoying as many offers as the skilled safety and Walls is still accumulating offers - 31, to be exact. The McDonough (Ga.) Union Grove star has received one scholarship after another in the past several months. With offers from the likes of Oklahoma, Auburn, Cal, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, and Tennessee among many others it's hard to argue against him as one of the most pursued prospects for the 2011 class.

As mentioned, Oklahoma finds themselves as one of the many suitors of Walls' talent at the safety position. And with Walls' abstaining from making any list of favorites, it is hard to gauge where they might rank in relation to the other 30 programs. Furthermore, teams do not have their usual full year of recruitment as Walls plans on early enrollment after he graduates from high school this December.

Lucky for the Sooners, they reached out to Walls first.

"They (Oklahoma) were my first offer," Walls recalled. "It is definitely special to me. Prior to the season, I knew a lot of teams gave out scholarships early, so I was in the third day of practice and I was just wondering what I wasn't doing right and decided to not think about recruiting anymore and put it in God's hands. Then, the next day, my parents told me to give the coach a call and so I gave him a call and they offered me a scholarship, so I was pretty excited about that."
