Grigsby talks new offer and favorite

Syracuse has had success recruiting Ohio, but now they are looking to try and get into some of the bigger programs in the state. One of them is Trotwood-Madison and the player they are looking at is linebacker Nicholas Grigsby.

Grigsby, 6-foot-1, 195 pounds was one of the most recent prospects to receive a Syracuse offer.

"Syracuse came in like last week maybe two weeks ago. I was excited when they offered." Grigsby said. "I talked with their line coach, Coach Adkins and he is the one that offered me."

What did Grigsby think of the Orange offer?

"When they offered I just thought about how they had a good program. I was glad they offered me and glad that they are looking to give me a chance."

Even though Grigsby knows a little about the program he is still in the dark about a lot of it.

"I do not know much about them. What I do know is that they are a good school with good academics."

A visit has not been talking to Syracuse yet, this summer however one should happen.

"I have not been there yet, but I am going to try and make it up there. I am not sure where I am going this summer. I have not planned it out yet."

Bowling Green and Syracuse were the listed offers until spoke with Grigsby. During the conversation he talked about a few more that came in.

"Michigan State has offered. I also got Kansas and most of the MAC schools like Akron, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Kent State."

One of those schools that has offered is standing out as an early favorite.

"Michigan State, they are just one of my favorite schools. I always play with them on games."

Even though the Ohio product has a favorite he is not ready to make any commitments at this time. He will look around longer and while he does there are a few items he will be checking when he sees a school.

"The top things I will be looking for are the location of the school, where I am going to be on the roster, the academic support, and the coaches. I want to make sure what the coaches are feeding is the right stuff."
