Gronkowski enjoys Syracuse visit

Williamsville (N.Y.) Williamsville North wide receiver Glenn Gronkowski took a visit to Syracuse last weekend. The Western New York prospect was very pleased with what he saw.

"It was a good visit, being there was a lot better than driving there because the weather was terrible. Everything went well, toured Manley and then we got to see the coaches," Gronkowski said. "It was good to see everything and the game was a hell of a game. Seeing the atmosphere and getting to know what was there was great and it was great to be there."

Besides touring the campus and talking to coaches what part of the visit stuck out to the 6-foot-3, 195 pound Gronkowski?

"I think it was the stadium that stuck out to me. I just love that stadium because it was only half packed and I was just wondering what a football game would be like with the fans there. All of the fans were yelling and that is probably a big deal why they are number one right now. Hopefully the football program gets up and running again and all of the fans keep coming back for the games. I think that stadium is just going to be the best place to play in the country."

After witnessing the Syracuse fans in action during the Villanova game he has become a believer that they could be one of the better groups of fans in the country.

"I think they are the best fans in the country every second of the game and every time the other team had the ball they were up screaming making everything difficult for the other team and getting Syracuse excited."

With a visit already taken to Syracuse he does plan on others in the upcoming months, but he is not sure where he will go.

"Nothing is set up for visits so far, I am planning on going to camps this summer, but nothing has been made official yet."
