Moncrief making the rounds
Raleigh, Miss., wide receiver Donte Moncrief has already earned an early offer from Ole Miss but it looks as if the Rebels won't be the last Southeastern Conference program to do so.
Several other programs are also showing interest in the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder as well.
"Recruiting is going pretty good so far," Moncrief said. "I only have one offer from Ole Miss but Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Tennessee are looking at me. Right now my mom doesn't want me to make a commitment. She wants me to wait so I'm probably going to wait until the summer or signing day because I haven't made my mind up yet."
Moncrief went to the Rebels junior day in late January and took a trip to visit their instate rival Mississippi State this past weekend along with his father, sister and girlfriend.
"I went to Mississippi State's junior day this past Saturday," Moncrief said. "It was pretty good. The coaches seemed cool. Dan (Mullen) seemed cool. We went on a tour of their dorms and they are really nice. They are doing a good thing with their football program. That gave me a better idea of what they have to offer."
The talented junior is also hoping to visit Alabama for their junior day but may not be able to make it to Tuscaloosa because of a baseball game.
