2011 Atlanta star visits UA

Marcus Mack

"This was my first time to ever see Alabama. I was really impressed with the atmosphere. It wasn't a big game but the whole town just really rallies around the team. They stop everything down there on a game day."

"I got a chance to see some of the facilities on campus and they were amazing, probably the best I've seen anywhere."

"We play our high school games mostly on Saturdays so I haven't gotten many chances to see Alabama or anybody else on TV this year but I did see the Alabama-Virginia Tech game. Alabama is very sound on defense and very fast-paced. They have the skills to make big plays but what really makes them great is that everyone knows their job and executes it perfectly and that comes from having great coaches. It's definitely a defense I would love to be part of."

"I play inside and outside linebacker as well as some defensive end but most of the coaches I talk to think I'm really a better fit for outside linebacker at the college level."

"I'm hearing a lot from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Vandy. I really don't have a favorite school. I grew up watching SEC and ACC football every weekend so I probably would prefer to play somewhere in this part of the country."

"I plan on going to a lot of camps next summer as well as a few combines this spring. I want to continue to try and become a better player and I want to show all the college coaches out there that I have what it takes to play at the next level."
