...it does look a bit out dated though.

Ok Notre Lame fans I need some answers. My grandfather (God rest his soul) told me about how ND used to be a pretty good football program. Now naturally I said WTF?

Either way, can the board tell me what has ND accomplished in their lifetime. To further clarify, if you don't hold an AARP card, can you please explain to me exactly what ND has accomplished in your lifetime.

Thanks in advance,

d-ronanole

What I want to know is if the Irish actually have any trophies to show for the titles they won in the mid 1800's or did they just get a pat in the back in those days?

Mr. Scrabble-King,

I wonder if any ND fans not collecting social security can remember when they were even somewhat relevant.

It is a simple question that seems to be an enigma.

Mr. d-ronanole, forget about any Notre Shame fans collecting social security being able to remember a point in time when they mattered(if you want to call "winning" titles with a 3 game schedule in 1792 "mattering"), there would be no grandparents of Notre Lame fans who collect social security checks that could say they were there when the fleeing irish won anything...BTW ntmu sir.

I do have to say congrats to the fleeing irish for finally beating big bad Navy......congrats.ohwell

Here is another question I have about ND. Seriously you have a midget wearing green as your mascot.

Here is an artist rendition:

Good question...BTW is that Hogan09 or CRW?...nvm, a democrap is a democrap.
Anyways as a UM fan I would like to thank the irish for the appropriate name they chose, after all Notre Dame means "Our Lady" and the Canes sure as hell made the Shamed ones "Our Lady(bitch)" before they fled from our series like the crocs.

He doesn't watch either anymoreohwell....this was on Jeopardy some months back:

Mr.Trebek: I will take "Most over rated CFB team in history" for $500

A: This team was once good, but now a days couldn't win a game of any relevance with the Gipper much less for the Gipper. This team was coached by Donald Duck(or sounds like him) a well respected man adressed as:Lou Sir.They have been so bad for over 20 years not even Touch Down Jesus watches their games at home and he is at all of them, the fan base is passionate and loves to play scrabble

Q:who is Notre Dame?

Trebek:absolutely correct!!!!!!!

You know Mr. Scrabble-King I have had an epiphany.

Indeed you're wrong, but it's understandable. You're still shellshocked from seeing your heroes get thumped by the Fightin' Irish. Of course, that was back in the days when people didn't know Nevin Shapiro from Myron Goldfarb.

Maybe the reason you're having trouble bringing this thread back to topic is because your topic is pointless. Six games isn't enough to claim ownership. I can see why you'd want to claim ownership as it would add to your national title total times 7. Unfortunately, your total games vs. in-state rivals Miami and Florida is enough to determine ownership. Guess what? They both own you. Congratulations on being third in your state.

Well I'd be willing to go with that IF I were a UM fan 3dGrin.

As it is I'm trying to engage in some healthy debate (some would call it safe.....).

Now Mrs. Alice, there was fair warning of my invasion and I haven't even run half of my scripted plays. I thought this WAS the big leagues.

Invasion? You're more like a drunk who staggered into bar and found that all the liquor was of a quality beyond your pocketbook.

Posted on 12/15 9:21 PM | IP: Logged

Posted on 12/15 9:24 PM | IP: Logged

BTW, CW

I've already established you have a nice place here, but it is a bit out dated.

If the liquor prices coincided with the last time ND was relevant even a Floridian like myself would be hood-rich.

Posted on 12/15 9:30 PM | IP: Logged

Having one's own network to televise its games means relevant. For Florida State to have its own network, Tallahassee would have to secede from the union. Of course, having had 4-loss seasons dating back to 2004 while embracing music appreciation courses and 56% graduation rates suggests you can't even "finesse" your way to being relevant.
