Many of the nation’s top high school football prospects are gathered in Oregon this week to compete in The Opening. That group includes Notre Dame commitments Elijah Hood, Justin Brent, DeShone Kizer and Quenton Nelson.
On Monday the prospects were tested in the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump and power ball throw to determine their individual SPARQ ratings.
Hood finished the preliminary SPARQ competition with a 133.47 SPARQ rating, good for fifth overall.
Louisiana’s Speedy Noil, a fringe Notre Dame target, finished at the top of the group with a 153.51 SPARQ Rating. That’s the second highest SPARQ rating since the testing program was developed.
