The SeatGeek team took a look at the ticket market for the Michigan-Notre Dame game and discovered it is in fact the most expensive game in college football so far this year. The average price of $371.60 a ticket is only outranked by a trio of upcoming games across all of college football this season (Alabama at LSU, OU-UT in Dallas and the Auburn-Alabama Iron Bowl). It will also likely be the most expensive Notre Dame home ticket since the start of the 2012 season.

The average price of a ticket to this weekend's Michigan at Notre Dame game is $371.60. That makes the Michigan-Notre Dame game is the most expensive ticket in college football to-date this season, and currently the 4th most expensive of the entire 2012 season, behind only 3 upcoming games -- the National Championship rematch between Alabama-LSU ($566.66), Oklahoma at Texas ($463.02), and the storied in-state rivalry of Auburn at Alabama ($406.14).
Tickets to this weekend's game are also the most expensive of any game at Notre Dame Stadium since the beginning of the 2010 season, just edging out last year's USC game (avg price of $352).
In the last three days alone, ticket prices have gone up $45.35 or 18%, from $256.37 on 9/14/2012 to $301.72 on 9/17/2012 after both teams won during Week 3, with Notre Dame securing a convincing win over a ranked Michigan State team on the road and Michigan easily handling UMass at home.
The Michigan-Notre Dame game is the most expensive game at Notre Dame Stadium this year. The next highest priced game is Miami at Notre Dame selling for an average of $248.55, or $53.17 less than the Michigan game.
This year's game between Notre Dame and Michigan, is the most expensive game between the two teams in the past three years, and is $88.29 more expensive than the last matchup at Notre Dame Stadium ($283.31).
As it stands now, the Michigan at Notre Dame game is the most expensive college football game of the week. The second most expensive game of the week is LSU at Auburn (both SEC West teams), selling at $159.33 or $212.27 less than the Michigan-Notre Dame game.
For fans still looking for tickets to this weekend's game, the current lowest available price for a ticket into Notre Dame Stadium is a $254 ticket in Section 116.
