November 10, 2011 Wake Forest Athletic Communications DeaconsIllustrated.com Talk about it in The Four Horsemen Lounge WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest offensive guard Michael Hoag has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District III football team. Hoag, a 6-6, 305-pound senior from Knoxville, Tenn. (Farragut) carries a 3.53 grade point average in communications. By being named to the All-District team, Hoag's name will appear on the Academic All-America ballot. A starter in all nine games this season, Hoag has graded out at 81 percent. He is second on the team with 48 knockdown blocks. Mikel Overgaard of N.C. State was the only other ACC offensive lineman to make the Academic All-District team.
