Webb could be the state's next great one
Every few years a top flight offensive line prospect emerges from the state of Oklahoma, the likes of Brandon Keith, Wes Sims, Brian Zimpel, Jammal Brown, are among the few to come out recently. Some have panned out, some have fizzled, however none had the bloodlines of the next most likely prospect, Owasso's Brandon Webb.
The son of one of Barry Switzer's litany of All-Americans, Webb has had football in his blood for a long-time. It's no surprise that he has seen quite a bit of success on the football field. Then again it's not just his father who has athletic genes, his cousin Tracy Moore is a standout at Tulsa Union and Moore's father was a star college and pro basketball player.
While many have assumed that the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Webb will follow in his father's footsteps as soon as Bob Stoops extends a scholarship offer, it may be that many have assumed too much.
He's also receiving mail from Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Texas Tech Kansas and Kansas State.
