Another 09 QB to watch
The Golden State of California has long been known as the land of abundant quarterbacks. This year there are already six quarterbacks committed to D-I schools and there is a very good chance that list will grow before signing day in February. Believe it or not, the quarterback class of 2009 is also stacking up as a solid group.
By now many recruitneks already know about Matt Barkley from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei. He offers from local schools, USC and UCLA, plus a host of others.
Upland signal caller, Josh Nunes already has two offers and more can be forthcoming.
Field generals Clark Evans from Los Alamitos, Calif., and Tate Forcier from San Diego (Calif.) Scripps Ranch are two more from the class of 2009 who will be recruited.
There is another from the class of 2009 who will join the before mentioned quarterbacks who will be recruited by D-I schools.
The signal-caller in question is Richard Brehaut (6-2, 195, 4.8) from Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos.
Brehaut earned all-league and all-area (HM) honors as a sophomore after throwing for 1,399 yards and 11 touchdowns while hitting on 65 percent of his passes. He also added another 380 yards rushing and added another five touchdowns on the ground.
In the early going Brehaut is already hearing from the likes of Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Stanford, and San Diego State.
