Highly recruited TE picks Iowa
With over thirty scholarship offers to his name, tight end Ray Hamilton had a lot of options to choose from. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Hamilton spent a lot of time this spring visiting schools on the East Coast, West Coast, and just about everywhere in between. After looking everything over though, the Ohio native decided he had found a home right in Big Ten country at Iowa.
Hamilton held scholarship offers from all over the country, but said his decision came down to mainly Iowa, North Carolina, and Florida State. Schools such as Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Stanford also offered.
Hamilton is the sixth verbal commitment for the Hawkeyes in the Class of 2011.
