2011 receiver already a hot commodity
WACO, Tex. -- Arlington High played in their second 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament this past weekend as the Colts made their way to Central Texas to Waco Midway High School. Among a field of 24, they were one of three teams to qualify for the state championships in College Station on June 10-11.
Led by Texas A&M quarterback commit Matt Joeckel, Arlington defeated Round Rock Westwood, Killeen Shoemaker and Mission Sharyland in pool play before taking out host Waco Midway in the quarterfinals to qualify for state. Joeckel's top receiver, class of 2011 prospect Miles Onyegbule, was impressive in all four games and was happy to have the burden of qualifying for state of his team's back.
