Hall will have busy summer
Sylvania (OH) Sylvania Southview wide receiver Jimmy Hall is on the verge of double digit offers as the summer months draw near. One of his new offers came from a team looking to re-build their program in Syracuse.
"I did not receive an actual written offer from Syracuse. My coach told me that they offered, but I have not actually talked with anybody from Syracuse yet."
Hall, 6-foot-1, 185 pounds had one of the better seasons you can see a high school receiver have. The three star prospect hauled in 47 passes totaling 963 yards and adding 10 touchdowns. Those numbers helped lead his Southview squad to a State Championship.
The Orange were one of the schools to jump on Hall quick, but the prospect does not know much about the Big East program at this time.
"I am pretty happy about the offer. I really do not know much about Syracuse right now."
Not only is Hall a terrific receiver, but he is also a division one caliber safety as well. Some of the schools that are looking at Hall are thinking about him on defense rather than offense.
"Actually right now I would say it is about 50/50 for offense and defense."
For Hall it does not matter which position he is playing as he goes about both positions the same way.
"I feel that I am a ball hawk and I am very aggressive when I play. I go 100 percent the whole game and try to be more physical."
Right now the Ohio product holds six offers, but a couple more could be on there way soon. One offer could come from the Big East the other the ACC.
"I am talking with Boston College and West Virginia and they said that they could possibly offer me pretty soon."
With offers in hand Hall is still planning on hitting the road for some summer camps in search of more scholarship offers.
"I am going to Ohio State for sure. I am probably going to go to West Virginia, Purdue, Northwestern, and Illinois. I have not set it in stone. The only for sure camp is Ohio State."
A decision will not come soon after the camp circuit, but it will be close to November.
"I think that it will be after next football season."
