VIDEO: Green has monster game off bench
EAST LANSING - Draymond Green understands that during his first-year at Michigan State that he might not always get the opportunity to play as many minutes as freshmen on some of the other teams in the Big Ten. But Green is also acutely aware that most of the freshman playing more minutes than he is will not have an opportunity to win a championship during their first season in college.
That is a trade-off between minutes and titles is one that that Green will gladly take. The freshman power forward arrived at Michigan State after leading Saginaw High to back-to-back Class A state championships and cutting down nets has gotten into his blood.
"I feel ready to contribute every game," said Green. "I just take the attitude that I am going to come in and be ready to contribute. I've got to be ready to play and to be ready to play hard. I had an opportunity to do that today and I had a good game."
