Braxton Lane details commitment
Wide receiver is an area of need for the Oregon class of 2009, and two-sport star Braxton Lane has the exact set of skills Duck coaches were looking for. With legitimate sub-4.4 speed on tap, Lane will help stretch the football field and the base paths for the Oregon Ducks.
Blue chip athlete Braxton Lane shored up his commitment to the University of Oregon the night before Letter of Intent Day. "I talked to Coach Bellotti about ten minutes ago. He said that my letter of intent was all in order and on its way. I am excited about signing tomorrow."
While many have speculated Braxton Lane would end up playing baseball, his current plan is to play both.
"They said they are going to let me give me it go at playing football and baseball," Lane informed DSA. "That's what I wanted. We talked plenty of times. Oregon was my favorite. It was a no-brainer."
